Adjustment class 101...I am still learning!

If you don't like to read puking stories...don't read ahead!

Man, things are crazy at home with four! Cliff has been excellent in helping out, what a great husband. Not only are we trying to get used to the adjustment, but last night Maika woke up around 2 a.m. and came into our room crying. He came right to my side of the bed and as I pulled him into bed with me, he threw up. Lucky it was just on our comforter and not on the bed sheets. A little of it got on me, which the smell of it makes me want to do the same. So, as I am sitting there with puke in my hands and holding Maika's legs together so it doesn't get on our bed, Cliff is trying to clean it up as best as possible...at least the chuncks. Then he gets Maika cleaned up and I get myself taken care of. I had the thought that we should put towels under Maika so that if he threw up again he would not get it all over our bed. And where did I come up with this idea?...my brilliant mother from when we were little. Can't believe I remembered something like that. Anyway, after this happened, Lavea'i wakes up and is up for a good hour before we fall asleep together in the recliner. Cliff stayed up and did some work just to make sure Maika was going to be okay, which he threw up 2 more times...on towels :) Much easier to clean. So, by the time all was said and done, we ended up asleep around 3:30 a.m. only for me to be woken up again at 4 a.m. to feed and change diapers. Not the greatest night, but the day has been a little better. Thank goodness my mom arrives here today and will be able to help me adjust a little longer. Cliff has cooked every night since I have been home and takes care of the kids very well while I am busy with baby. He has been a life saver. A very sweet one at that. I love him with all my heart, along with our children we have been blessed with. I know that I will be adjusted later more than sooner, but it will come.

Seriously I am tired just reading about that story. I have always said that once you become a mother you also become the vomit and poop clean up crew. Did I sign up for that?? Hope your week goes better and I am glad your Mom is there to help.

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME.... the WHOLE 1st week we had puking kids! Then Eric got it....so I was taking care of him, too. FUN! Never a dull moment! So sorry!

Oh the puke stories. I can't tell you how many times I have slept with towels on the bed.
Congratulations on the new baby. It's so refreshing to have a new baby in the home. What a joy. I would have more babies, but since I've figured out that they grow up, I've decided to just enjoy everyone else's.

The Last of the Baptisms: Tunoa

I am amazed at how beautiful this day turned out! Tunoa has not been excited to be baptized at all until he had his interview with the Bisho...
