Scolding

You wouldn't believe that right before this picture ALL of the kids had just been scolded by Daddy. Just a little history, when we finished the basement we decided to put a flat screen TV downstairs instead of wiring for a projector (I left that decision up to Cliff because he was the one doing all the wiring). I should have made him wire for it because the first flat screen, HD TV was quite pricey. We decided to move it downstairs and put a smaller one upstairs. To make a long story short, Cliff came home one day from work and went downstairs to check something out on his Xbox, turned the TV on and half of it was covered with different colored lines running across it. He calmly came upstairs and asked what happened to the TV. I had no idea other than the boys had been playing down there earlier while I was up here doing household chores (I think). By this time, all the kids were outside playing and they had no idea they had busted the TV. So, out went that TV because it wasn't worth the money to fix it and the boys didn't even get so much as a spanking on their little bums from him. Cliff just swore we wouldn't get another TV for a LONG time. (A couple of weeks was all it took to replace it)

So, once again the flat screen is down in the basement. Kalena is always the one left in charge to make sure the boys aren't throwing things at the TV. But on this particular day, Kalena had a friend over and had shot the TV with one of the boys nerf guns. Maika told on her, but then a couple of minutes later Kalena hollars up the stairs "Mom, Maika and Tula'i are climbing on the table and jumping off"...KEEP IN MIND the table is right in front of the TV. Not only is all of this going on while I am trying to cook dinner, but Lavea'i climbs onto the table and is too scared to get down by himself. I inform Cliff of Lavea'i and he gets a little frustrated with me because I am up here and not going to go and do anything about it. So, needless to say...Kalena was so scared out of her pants after her friend went home and Dad had grabbed a slipper. She was bawling her eyes out saying sorry and that she would never do it again. Then he scolded Lavea'i for being on the table and asked why he was climbing on the table...I had to inform him he was following his brothers' examples. So, ALL OF THEM got the wits scared out of them. BUT as soon as Dad had them give him a hug and sit on the couch to take a picture, they knew everything was okay.

The moral of the story: ALWAYS WIRE FOR A PROJECTOR!

Snack Pudding

For a couple of weeks, I decided to make chocolate pudding from the box instead of buying the snack packs. I forgot how YUMMY pudding was from the box...AND apparently my boys really liked it too. I would dish it into their little cups and one day this was the end result for Lavea'i from trying to lick the cup clean.

Gifts from Nana & Papa

Cliff's parents sent money to the kids for Christmas. Of course, we didn't get the money till after Christmas and then we took them shopping only spending $5.00 each. They were in heaven in the school coloring section Target. ABSOLUTELY NO MORE TOYS to be played with and rot after a couple of days! That was our goal. And it WORKED!!!! As soon as we got home, they all started to color.

Well, all except Maika...coloring is not his forte.

Kalena's finished product that says "My birthday is coming up. Just three mor days be for my birthday." All of us are in the picture and the one under the table is Lavea'i crawling under it.

The Last of the Baptisms: Tunoa

I am amazed at how beautiful this day turned out! Tunoa has not been excited to be baptized at all until he had his interview with the Bisho...
