Checkers Competition Anyone?

Who would have ever thought that this boy would have signed up for a checkers tournament? I sure NEVER in my lifetime thought he would because he was Cliff's bodyguard whenever we went somewhere new. This is how shy this boy used to be. That being said, I still smile about him signing up. Here is how it went down.

Him and Kalena get home from school on Monday and later that night as we are sitting down for dinner, he says, "I signed up for a checkers tournament and I play tomorrow." Caught off guard and a LOT shocked I ask him, "Do you know how to play checkers?" Maika confidently replies, "Yeah, my friend Ryder showed me how during lunch today." So Cliff, being the good dad that he is, busts out the ipad and downloads a checkers game on it so they can play and he can learn a little bit more before the big game on Tuesday.

Needless to say, he won on Tuesday and lost yesterday. The kid that beat him only had 2 pieces left. I would say pretty darn good job for just learning how to play.
