Holding Out!

I am trying to hold off on giving birth at least for another week. I am 36 1/2 weeks and started having Braxton Hicks contractions Saturday. They weren't very hard, of course, but one right after the other. I went to bed and they stopped that night...thank goodness I got some sleep. But, Sunday morning came and they started up again. Same occurrence as the previous day. Monday, round 3 of it all. I finally got into the doctor that I don't like to just have him tell me that they are just the "nuisance ones" and to "drink lots of water and get lots of rest." Thanks doc! I am glad I am paying you close to $1,000 bucks out of my own pocket just for you to tell me this. The only other time I have felt these this strong is with Kalena. I had them for a week before she was born.

So, I am trying to rest as much as having four children allow and being counselor in the primary at church at least until next week Wednesday. I have piano recital that has been planned for about 3 months for my students to show off their wonderful talent. If I have her before next Wednesday, I don't know what I will do. Most of them have worked hard on their songs and I don't want them to not be able to play for everyone else.

I also am very appreciative of Cliff for all the help he has given since the doctor's appointment. He was there and wasn't too pleased with him either, but he is listening to what the doctor had to say and has cooked and cleaned the last couple of nights. He gets the kids ready for bed and helps out in the morning when they wake up before he heads off to work. He has told me to just put movies on for them and know that this is just for a short period of time.
