I'm Free (3)!

Lavea'i turned 3 on Dec. 10, so only a couple of weeks late at posting. It was probably the most relaxing birthday out of the kids (minus the cake decorating). I continue to ask myself why I even started decorating their cakes in the first place. But, none the less, I will continue on.

We didn't go anywhere for his birthday. We stayed home and the kids just played their little hearts out. It started out with cocoa rice for breakfast. Afterwards, we let him open presents throughout the day. It was Grandma Bandmann's gift first because I knew she would be calling and saying happy birthday, but we beat her to it this time. We didn't get a picture of all of the gifts, but he enjoyed every single one of them. I even stayed up the night before working on his own Super Lavea'i cape with red aloha print material. Cliff's parents and sister, Milla, were here celebrating it with us. It was a pretty special day for him and he loved every moment of it.

He kept changing his mind on what he wanted his cake to be, but finally ended with "Lightening D'Queen." I decorated it that day while he took very late nap on the couch.

At age 3, Lavea'i is definitely the child that tries my patience. He CAN NOT sit still for the life of him. There is never a dull moment when he is around. He doesn't like to listen at all, so when he does, it is a treat for Cliff and I. He has sooo much personality and is always talking. He usually plays by himself and does really well with it. He will always let Cliff and I know when he doesn't love us anymore, which is quite a bit lately. But, with all of this, he continues to tug at my heart strings.
