Well, things are quite the same around here. Cliff left for a night and headed to California this past week for work. Thank goodness it wasn't a full week. I would be in a nuthouse. It is pretty hard having three wee little ones and then a teen. Somehow, I get through it all picking up after 5 kids...this includes my husband, but I know that I wouldn't be able to survive without such a good husband. He helps out so much.
I now play piano for the primary and am enjoying it, but there are times when I wish I could just sit and keep listening to others teach. Although, I love to hear the little children sing their hearts out on songs they love. The one they really enjoy to sing is "Scripture Power." It gives me the chills at times to be able to listen while I accompany.
Today, the sharing time was one that I loved. One of our counselors had three of the primary teachers dress up and act as though they were Nephi, Ammon, and Queen Esther. It was amazing how quiet the room was when they were telling there stories about how they went and did the things the Lord commanded them. Between each telling of their stories, we sang the chorus of "Nephi's Courage." Even I, myself, was sitting there waiting to here these stories that were being told. It was so amazing how the spirit was strong because of the reverence and also of the truths that were being related to the children so that they could learn more on how to stand up for what was right and knowing the Lord would be there to provide a way for things He needs us to do.
So, coming back to my life this past week. How do I manage to survive, (how did my mother survive)? We'll, the Lord has given us a commandment to multiply and replenish the earth. Wether it be 7 in 9 years, 4 in 8 years, or 3 in 3 years with a teen, He will be there to help out. His spirit will be with us to continue on in our endeavor to do what He has commanded. I am thankful for the lessons that I am able to learn wether it be that I am just in primary or in sunday school. I have learned we can always learn wherever we are or whatever age level is being taught. I just need to listen to the message being taught.
