Examples of Little Children

The other night we were saying family prayer and as usual, I open my eyes to make sure that the little two are folding their arms and sitting still. It has taken a while to get to this point for them to sit still, but we have finally arrived thanks to the few spankings that Dad has had to give them to let them know that we don't play while we are saying prayer. But, the cutest thing that I have noticed when I open my eyes to check on them is Maika starting out by sitting or standing just folding his arms, but then not too long into the prayer he will move to the couch and try to kneel down leaning against it with his arms propped on the couch, head bowed and trying his hardest to close his eyes. I wish I could get the camera sometimes in the middle of the prayer just to have the pictures to look at, but at least it is embedded in my memory.

Another thing that I was going to get mad about, but then couldn't was Maika getting into Cliff's scriptures because he isn't very gentle with books...let alone scriptures. He has been known to rip a page or two. But this particular time, Maika got into Cliff's scriptures and took out his bookmark the kids love to play with made of kangaroo skin. I scolded him a little telling him to put it away. Of course, he didn't listen and just kept it in his hand and then pointed to one of the brandings on it and said, "Jesus." Now, how can you get mad at something like that? I couldn't get mad at him anymore because the person he saw on the bookmark was Jesus even though it wasn't. I guess he just figured that it was in Cliff's scriptures, so it must be Jesus.

The Last of the Baptisms: Tunoa

I am amazed at how beautiful this day turned out! Tunoa has not been excited to be baptized at all until he had his interview with the Bisho...
