Best JELLO ever!!!!

This is what Maika looks like after a plate full of jello. You could put anything else in front of his face and he would always pick the jello to eat. Not only does he eat it, he likes to wear it ALL OVER too!

Pile of Dirt + child= pile of dirt in child's clothes

Cliff and I had a garden box put in our yard so I could have fresh veggies this year...yum, yum! Well, behind our house they are beginning to build others on our block finally and so there are piles upon piles of dirt all around. Kalena and Maika both loved it while we were sifting through the dirt and loading our garden box full of the dirt. I could just see it in their clothes when I went to do the laundry this morning. I had to sweep the laundry room floor after going through the two sets of clothes.

Playin Hookie

So, this past Sunday I had Lela stay home with Kalena and Tula'i. Of course, she had no problem with it. Kalena woke up with a nasty cough and we just left Tula'i to make life easier at church for us. Maika was the only to go with us. Poor guy had to go to nursery by himself. But, this is what we came home to discover....

Who ever said pregnancy was fun?

Well, #4 pregnancy is kicking my butt. I feel so bad for my family, especially my kids in the morning. I am so tired and sick in the morning that they don't get any attention after Tula'i is put down for his morning nap. I just curl up on the couch or recliner and fall asleep. They could walk out the front door and I probably wouldn't even know it. Cliff, bless his heart, has been so understanding and patient with me...he has learned well. He did the laundry today inbetween calls and working. The past few mornings he has come out of his office/masterbedroom and there I am knocked out on the couch letting Kalena go to town on as many Dora and Diego's it takes for me to get enough sleep. Maika usually goes down to, but if not then they are both just doing whatever the heck they like keeping each other company. My days now begin around noon...when I feel okay to get up and get going. My home on the other hand doesn't get the attention it needs and is a disaster area. I finally got off my butt today and mopped the floor after 2 weeks of letting it go. I wouldn't even eat anything off of the floor if I had dropped something...so disgusting if my kids have done it. Well, bless my husband for being understanding and my children for letting me sleep. Hope it all ends soon, gotta love it! Not really, just the end product!

First Cavity

So, Kalena has been to the dentist once before and she was a little scared, but this time she was absolutely fearful. They couldn't get her to even open her mouth without me being there to force it. Well, she had one small cavity, so I decided to get the work done so it wouldn't get worse. I scheduled an appointment for Monday, April 14 and took her in. I decided just to have them put the laughing gas on her, but she screamed for 20 minutes before she finally let me put the "red piggy nose" (this is what Kalena calls it) on her. Needless to say, the dentist came in to do the work and it failed miserably...I was so mad that I had to reschedule. But the next time, she was on valium, so she was more relaxed. She hopped right in the chair, but asked me to hold her so I did for my better judgment. Then we put the purple "piggy nose" on and she thought is was so funny. That is all she kept saying through the whole process. "Mommy, that so funny." The most hilarious part of all was when she kept farting and in Samoan the word for fart is kaipu. Well, she farted pretty loud one time and proceeded to say very loudly, "Mommy, that so funny. I kaipu'd." It brought tears to my eyes cause I could swear everyone throughout the office could hear it. There were many other things that were said, but when we left that appointment, I was very proud of her for doing so well. Here is a picture of her after we came home from the dentist...she looks exhausted, but she never fell asleep until bed time.

All my FRIENDS

Whenever I ask Kalena if she wants her cousins to come over, her answer is always "Yes, I want all my friends to come over and play." She loves to hang out with her cousins. So, this is a picture of all of them sitting and talking to their Papa for his birthday. They of course sang to him and then each had to take their turn to talk. Probably confused the heck out of Papa, but it was cute.

All fours

Tula'i is getting up on all fours and scoots himself around quite well. Definitely well enough that he fell down the stairs when I was at drill on Saturday. Cliff had put him on the one side of the living room and he scooted clear to the other side while Cliff was out putting sealant on our concrete. Well, Kalena came out to tell him that the baby fall down and Cliff asked her where he fell down. "She fall downstairs," was the reply. So, Cliff ran inside to check on him, but he wasn't even crying and just kept on scootin' to get to the toys downstairs in the basement.

Army Miracle

MIRACLES NEVER CEASE!!!!! So, this past month I have been a little worried about having to be deployed, but never really thought anything of it until this past Monday. I was informed that I was to get some letter stating that I needed to report for a soldier readiness plan (SRP) this weekend for drill instead of going to my unit's regular drill. I never received the letter, so I called my unit administrator and asked him what the deal was with the SRP. He proceeded to let me know that unless I get pregnant or get divorced, then I will be slotted to go into Iraq taking care of detainees...not so fun! Well, the deployment wouldn't be until October, so I figured I had plenty of time to get pregnant, but then Russ contiues to let me know that the Army is going to do an extended annual training before this year long deployment to prepare those who will be deployed. So, I was okay until that night after FHE when Cliff brought it up to Lela just to let her know what was going on and of the possibility of leaving. Lela's response was,"You're not going." The faith of her, AMAZING! Well, to make a long story short...our prayers were answered and the desire I have to not leave my family has been granted by the Lord. Not only am I able to stay home, but the reason for me getting to stay is because we are expecting another choice spirit of our Heavenly Father's to come down to us in December. This my friend is one of the many miracles that I have witnessed in my time in the military. Time has always been close to being deployed, but the Lord has taken care of me just as long as I have faith.

Hand-me-down

These pictures of Maika are so cute with the awesome ear covering hat that I had to put on so he wouldn't freeze his noggin and ears off. He loves to be outside, rain or shine, definitely the manly type. It is just up to me to keep him warm enough out there to enjoy it. What a hunk!!!

Backyardigans!!!

OK, so we finally got our yard in and the weather has been so nice this weekend (of course I had drill, but came home early enough to enjoy it before the sun went down). The kids have played out there tons today when I came home because this is where I wanted to be...outside...more of these days to come of course. Notice Kalena's smooth, killer outfit. Yeap, she takes fashion tips from her mother...doesn't care what she looks like! The one of Kalena and Maika are them playing in my going to be garden box...so excited to plant some veggies and be able to eat them fresh. Maika didn't even want to come in when the sun went down because he was having too much fun outside.

Tagged Once Again

Here it goes!!

What were you doing a decade ago?

The Last of the Baptisms: Tunoa

I am amazed at how beautiful this day turned out! Tunoa has not been excited to be baptized at all until he had his interview with the Bisho...
