FHE activity :)

I got Lela all excited to go the a dollar movie, but then decided last minute to change the plan. Lela wasn't too happy until we actually got to Target. I had a $15.00 gift card from my sister-in-law for a thank you and so I decided instead of spending it on myself, we could go and each choose one other person to buy for with the limit of $3. Well, it turned out quite well. Kalena got me a flashlight that she says is hers. Cliff got Lela a 12 pack of coke. Maika got Cliff some Milano cookies. Lela got Maika a big bubble blower and 3 squirt gun. I got Kalena a play microphone and a small watering can to help me water the plants. But here are some of the pictures of the kids playing outside when we got home last night. I think it ended successfully!!!

Beach Bums!!

This is the closest thing that my kids get to the beach. The weather was so nice and hot that day...80+ degrees. Kalena was out there from about 1pm to 9pm and loved it the whole time. She was playing with her cousin Anatoniga for a while until Ana couldn't hang anymore. It was a day of just hanging around outside and kickin' it.

Kalena's Hula Video

So, I found the luau video and here it is. Just something a little cute. She was so excited when she was done because everyone clapped especially her dad. On the way home she told me, "Mommy, I did good job cause daddy clapped for me."

Examples of Little Children

The other night we were saying family prayer and as usual, I open my eyes to make sure that the little two are folding their arms and sitting still. It has taken a while to get to this point for them to sit still, but we have finally arrived thanks to the few spankings that Dad has had to give them to let them know that we don't play while we are saying prayer. But, the cutest thing that I have noticed when I open my eyes to check on them is Maika starting out by sitting or standing just folding his arms, but then not too long into the prayer he will move to the couch and try to kneel down leaning against it with his arms propped on the couch, head bowed and trying his hardest to close his eyes. I wish I could get the camera sometimes in the middle of the prayer just to have the pictures to look at, but at least it is embedded in my memory.

Another thing that I was going to get mad about, but then couldn't was Maika getting into Cliff's scriptures because he isn't very gentle with books...let alone scriptures. He has been known to rip a page or two. But this particular time, Maika got into Cliff's scriptures and took out his bookmark the kids love to play with made of kangaroo skin. I scolded him a little telling him to put it away. Of course, he didn't listen and just kept it in his hand and then pointed to one of the brandings on it and said, "Jesus." Now, how can you get mad at something like that? I couldn't get mad at him anymore because the person he saw on the bookmark was Jesus even though it wasn't. I guess he just figured that it was in Cliff's scriptures, so it must be Jesus.

Ward Luau Show

My sister-in-law, Andrea, asked if we would help her out with their ward luau dance program. We did and here are some pictures of the dancers from the family. Cliff recorded the whole program, but I don't know where he has it saved. So, maybe later I will be able to post video.

The Last of the Baptisms: Tunoa

I am amazed at how beautiful this day turned out! Tunoa has not been excited to be baptized at all until he had his interview with the Bisho...
