The Father & Kids Camp Out

Cliff and I love to go camping, but with my experiences of being pregnant and camping the last 2 summers in a row, I have decided it isn't worth my losing sleep and being uncomfortable. So, since he underestimates himself in thinking he can't take both of them out to the mountains to really camp, this is their first camping experience for the year. What comes closest with the comforts of the home being right there. The weather has been lovely down here, just allergies

raging.

The best campsite possible!
This is how we started the night. Cliff BBQ'd hotdogs on the grill, but too hot to eat them outside. Don't want heat exhaustion!
Just playing around while Daddy is still puting the tent up.
They were so excited to be in there, they just couldn't wait to play around and sleep in it tonite.
Kalena acting like she is looking at the stars, but then she just flopped herself backwards to lie down. And Maika, well, he is just closing his eyes really tight acting like he is going to sleep.

Smores is, of course, the highlight of all camp trips right?! Kalena doesn't like them but she sure loves to eat it all seperately!! You can see why she doesn't like it together...it gets all over her face and in her hair.

What a Boring Life!

Just kidding...My life is anything but BORING!!!! I just haven't blogged in a really long time, but I promise this weekend I will have something to blog about. Lela is away in Colorado helping out my sister with her little boy while she is working and won't be back until mid July. Lucky her, she gets to come home to more baysitting while I am on my way to Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin for my annual training. Things are still chaotic around here most of the time, but still fun. Just have to pick my battles with the kids and let them duke it out for toys. So far, there haven't been any black eyes or broken bones for either one of them. Maika likes to make Kalena mad by pushing her or taking her tea party and throwing it on the floor. But then she gets him back by sasaing (spanking) him when he does something she thinks he needs to be punished for...already trying to be a mother. Tula'i is starting to crawl a little more each day, but when he wants to get somewhere fast he does the worm. He loves to laugh and stare at the kids when they are playing and chasing each other around. So, that is about all for now. Just a little update...and yes I look like I am already 5-6 months along. Maybe I will post a picture later, but not now. Hope all is well with everyone and enjoying the summer months so far.
This is the edit of the picture of me gaining weight and looking prego...look at those ginormous arms. Not only that but everything else. My posture isn't the greatest either.

Denver Trip

We took off for the weekend and then a little for the week to Denver to visit my sisters. Two of them live down there and the other one flew down from Washington. My mom is currently in Denver as well taking care of my youngest sister's little boy. My only single sister went made the decision to go through the temple that weekend, hence the reason why my sister from WA flew down. We hardly are ever able to get together with each other, but for this it happened. I haven't been to the temple for a while because of being hungry all of the time. But, I did make it...STARVATION almost happening! But on the way back home we decided to take the long road home and see some of the many places our family has lived in Colorado....a trip not recommended with three little kids. It would have taken 8-9 hours, but with all of the stops that were made it turned into 12. But, I do have pictures of Green Mtn. Dam where we used to live. I made sure we got one of the hill that we used to have to walk to take the bus to school. It is 1/3 of a mile, but never once did we ever complain about it. There were many memories from this place which is now empty. And how beautiful it was!!!!
The view of Green Mtn. Dam from the top. Oh...how beautiful it is!

Cliff and the kids.

The hill we used to sled down by our first house we lived in.

Right behind us used to be where our first house was that was flooded. This is the house that us girls all slept together in a full bed and Nezhone would do what the rest of us told her to do.

My mom with us.

The infamous hill that we walked. In this picture you can see the bottom of the hill and the top by the dam where we had to catch the bus.

Lela's Birthday

Every year we tease Lela that we aren't doing anything for her birthday. Her comment to me this year when I said we weren't doing anything was "I should've known." I think we always pull through at the end and make it a good one. She only wanted her 3 good friends to come over and stay the night, but one of them couldn't make it.

Kalena concentrating real hard on putting all the candles in.

Lela looking 15 going on 30 and enjoying the moment. She let the kids blow out her candles.

The Last of the Baptisms: Tunoa

I am amazed at how beautiful this day turned out! Tunoa has not been excited to be baptized at all until he had his interview with the Bisho...
