Joy School, Joy School

Yes, here it goes again. I feel bad because I didn't do a darn thing with Maika before he went to kindergarten. He struggled at first and still does a slight bit, but now I know that everything is okay...not that I didn't know it before. But, he has caught on real fast and before he started school he knew maybe a handful of his uppercase alphabet letters. A progress report was just sent home and to my surprise he only needs help with 4 of the lower case...and they all look alike "b,d,p,q." So, by golly I thought I was bad for not doing anything with him, but he is doing WONDERFUL!

So, because of a little bit of guilt, I decided to do Joy School with a couple of other mother's for Tula'i. I don't know if he is learning anything new, but I know that he likes to go and play at the other's houses. He won't trace any of the letters or even his name. I don't care. I know he will get it when he is ready for it and when it is time as Maika has proven to me. Anyway, since it is Halloween this month, I decided to do the letter B for bat. We made a pumpkin with a bat sitting on top of the pumpkin. He was so excited when he finished it, he wanted Cliff to see it. But, "Dad 'was' taking too long," so I had to take a picture with my phone and email it to Cliff. I thought that since I had taken the picture and sent it to Cliff, that he would just eat the candy off of it. But, ALL DAY he would remind me that "Dad is taking too long." As soon as Dad got home and he showed him the bat, off the candy came from the picture and into his mouth it went. Now, how cute is it that he had to wait for his dad to see the picture before he would eat his candy? But even cuter, he had to wear his Spiderman costume all day and even to dinner that night when we went to Rodizio's.

The Last of the Baptisms: Tunoa

I am amazed at how beautiful this day turned out! Tunoa has not been excited to be baptized at all until he had his interview with the Bisho...
