The Pumpkin Patch

I was able to have a friend watch my other kiddos while I went on Maika's field trip to the pumpkin patch. The only reason I wanted to go was to get pictures of him. I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to blog about it for memories sake. So, thanks to my friend Allison for watching the kids so I could go. I was in charge of looking after 2 other little boys besides Maika.

From L to R: Maika, Braxton, Derek

There were 169 kindergarten kids from their school that went. So, it was massive chaos and hard to keep track of the three when they all wanted to go their own direction. Derek would just take off and not worry about the rest of us. Maika would go ahead, but if he got too far, he would stop and wait. Then there was Braxton would wouldn't do anything without me being right there.

The first thing we did was go through a small corn maze.

About half way through the maze and always heading in the same direction, we finally decided to cheat and cut through it to get out and go find all the other fun activities. Throughout the maze there were little scarecrows, cats, witches, etc. up on sticks so I decided to make them stop and get at least one picture of them in the maze.

At the end of everything, the farmer had some bales of hay with huge pumpkins sitting on them to take pictures with the kids. I got this really cute one of Maika.

After taking the pictures of all three boys, we headed over to the pumpkins and thankfully Maika picked out one of the smallest ones. Derek, of course, wanted the biggest one and then asked me to carry it. I politely declined and had him carry it....how MEAN of me!

The Last of the Baptisms: Tunoa

I am amazed at how beautiful this day turned out! Tunoa has not been excited to be baptized at all until he had his interview with the Bisho...
