NO MORE Scissors!

I was going to take pictures of this, but didn't because in the end it can be hidden. Kalena was using her scissors one day to cut paper. I have only had problems with her cutting her barbies hair and mine while sleeping, but that has been a couple of years ago. But, NEVER EVER put it past them to cut their own hair.

I was making lunch for the kids and cutting the boys hair all in the same mid morning and not really paying attention to what she was doing. Usually she is really good about just coloring and cutting paper, but this day not so good. I had ran earlier that morning and still needed to shower. I couldn't shower until the girl I watch on Monday mornings. We waited until she was gone and then we all showered together. I got the boys done and then I had Kalena come in with me. As I was washing her hair, a pretty big chunk of hair came out, but not enough to really notice a difference in her hair. I asked her if she cut her hair and she said, "Yes, I was hiding from you." I scolded her and told her she couldn't use scissors anymore and threatened to cut her hair like the boys if she ever cut her hair again (this is the thing she is most afraid of). Right then, she said she would never do it again. But, still she can't use scissors.

We went on with our day and Cliff came home from work. He had to use the bathroom and used the one by the kitchen. When he walked into the bathroom, he asked me what all this hair was on the bathroom floor and in the sink. Duh, why didn't I think of checking for more hair! Not so bright on my end. I answered his question and still didn't even go to look, but when I had to use the bathroom I finally looked in the garbage next to the toilet and saw the load of hair she had really cut.

Before I noticed how much she had actually cut, I realized where she had cut it because I can't even pull it back in a single ponytail anymore. The part she cut is on the side in the front and will hang out. I tried to fix it by tapering the front and giving some layers. It isn't as noticeable when her hair is down, but I still can't pull it into one ponytail. I will take a picture of her hair in a ponytail and you will see what I mean.
